ECHAR Senior School pupils met last week to discuss plans for The Grange Non violence and Friendship Week. The word TECHAR stands for Tolerance, Empathy, Commitment, Honesty, Attitude and Respect and is made up of a volunteer group of around 70 pupils, from 8°Básico to 4°EM. Their aim is to promote coexistence. This year our representatives are keen to take the idea of the International Day of Non-Violence and expand it to a whole week. The focus will be looking at ways to highlight awareness and the huge damage it causes.
Friendship Week has now become a tradition at The Grange, and specific days are devoted to activities. In the Senior School it is organized by the TECHAR team, coordinated with PSHE in Senior, Upper and Lower. News to follow in future bulletins, but rest assured that lots of good ideas and thoughts came from the meeting and we look forward to seeing them come to fruition this Semester.
