Our class continues to retell the story of the Great Fairy Tale Disaster, using time words and phrases to structure the events in chronological order. In previous weeks, the children were engaged in learning the story’s characters, settings and identifying the opening, build-up, problem and ending. Their engagement has led to greater confidence in using key English vocabulary. In Maths, we’ve been learning the differences between odd and even numbers. The children used concrete materials to show their understanding of equal groups and how to identify even numbers.
