On Friday, August 1st, 2025, six of our pupils had the enriching opportunity to participate in the ABSCh Drama Festival, held this year at Craighouse School. This annual gathering of British schools in Chile celebrates creativity, collaboration, and expression through the performing arts.

This edition of the festival centered around The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, offering each group the chance to explore scenes from the timeless book through a variety of theatrical styles. Pupils were encouraged to reflect on themes such as imagination, essential truths, and human connection, and to reimagine them using physical theatre, improvisation, multimedia elements, and original performance.

Our pupils engaged enthusiastically in all workshops and performances. Throughout the day, they took part in dynamic activities ranging from movement and physical theatre training to shadow play creation and sound exploration. The festival also provided opportunities for social interaction, shared meals, and collaborative rehearsals strengthening ties between schools and celebrating a shared passion for drama.

The Grange School delegation stood out for their dedication, collaboration, and expressive work on stage. Their presence contributed to the vibrant atmosphere of the festival, and they were excellent ambassadors of our School’s values and creative spirit.

We extend our thanks to Craighouse School for their warm hospitality and to the ABSCh community for organising this inspiring event. We are proud of our pupils and look forward to future editions of the festival where we can continue celebrating the transformative power of theatre.
