The Grange School was founded in 1928 by Mr. John Jackon, our first Headmaster, who instilled the values, traditions, and ethos that remain current today. Nevertheless, we look to the future with enthusiasm and embracing change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
We set the goal to have All-rounder pupils, thus allowing them to experience academic excellence and a love for sports, music and arts. In addition, we are proud promoters of Fair Play and the Spirit of Service as they guide our pupils through their education at The Grange School and throughout their lives.
The Grange is the only school in Chile accredited as a BSO school, complying with the British standards for education. Consequently, we follow the national education program and the Cambridge curriculum.
These challenges can only be faced successfully with a committed, inspiring, and highly qualified Staff. In addition, we have a unique blend of local and international teachers that allows us to connect with our Chilean roots and British heritage.
We are always open to new applicants, but mainly focus on recruiting since July or for the following year. Our academic year begins for pupils around 1st March but new Staff are required to be in School for training and preparation in their departments at least a week early.
Finally, living in Santiago has many intangible benefits, including access to ski resorts within an hour’s drive, the Pacific coast two hours away, the opportunity to travel nationally in a country that spans great diversity from dry deserts to lush southern forests.
Access to the other Latin American countries is efficient and relatively inexpensive, and the unique opportunities of Easter Island and Antarctic tourism are readily available for those prepared to be a little more adventurous.
If you want to be part of our Community as a Staff member and contribute to our educational project, we invite you to apply for our current open positions.
We look forward to receiving your application.
