Susan Pettersen joined The Grange School in September 1988, after relocating from Viña del Mar to Santiago.
She previously worked at various schools’ members of the British School Association in Chile, where she taught as form teacher in different year levels.
When arriving at The Grange, for 24 years, she was a head teacher in Prekinder and Kinder as well as Head of Year in various opportunities. During this time, she was part of the academic committee that presented The Grange Curriculum to the Ministry of Education that integrates the Chilean National curriculum and the Early Years Foundation Curriculum from England, as well as the development of the PSHE and Pastoral Care programme.
She holds a degree in teaching for primary education from Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
Susan has been Deputy Head Pastoral in the Lower Prep since 2012 and is particularly passionate about children’s wellbeing and safeguard.
