Co-Curricular Experiences

At The Grange School, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Throughout their journey, specially from 3° Básico to 4°EM, pupils have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of Co-Curricular experiences that complement their learning and contribute to their personal, social and academic development.

These experiences take place in different environments and contexts, giving pupils opportunities to explore, learn and grow while developing skills and values that are difficult to replicate within the classroom. They encourage pupils to become more independent and resilient, work collaboratively with others, take on new challenges and connect their learning with the world around them.

The Co-Curricular Experiences Programme includes a range of opportunities, such as:

  • Outdoor Education: experiences that develop leadership, resilience, independence and the ability to respond to new challenges.
  • Sport & Performance: opportunities to develop teamwork, discipline, confidence and commitment through sporting and performance experiences.
  • Academic and Cultural Experiences: visits, tours, conferences and exchanges that connect classroom learning with real-world contexts and broaden pupils’ perspectives.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Experiences: opportunities to develop an understanding of environmental challenges and the importance of caring for our surroundings.
  • National and International Experiences: educational opportunities that allow pupils to discover new places, cultures and perspectives while developing greater independence and global awareness.

Some of these experiences require greater planning and anticipation from families. This section provides an overview of the different opportunities pupils may encounter as they progress through the School, helping families understand their main educational purpose and plan ahead.

Together, these experiences form an important part of the educational journey at The Grange School, giving pupils opportunities to apply their learning, discover new interests, develop important life skills and grow through experiences beyond the classroom.

Safeguarding, inclusion, and reflection

The safety and wellbeing of every pupil is our highest priority. All trips are carefully risk-assessed and fully supervised by trained staff. We are committed to ensuring that every pupil feels included, and we strive to make our trips accessible to all.

After each trip, pupils take part in reflection sessions to connect their experiences with the values and lessons explored during the visit, helping ensure these opportunities have a lasting impact on personal growth.

The Co-Curricular Programme is reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with educational priorities and pupil needs. Experiences, destinations, dates, eligibility criteria and associated costs included in this overview are indicative and may evolve over time. Pupil participation will be subject to school fees being up to date and to there being no behavioural concerns that may affect participation.
