To start off, 5D and 5F teams debated in the chapel in front of a large audience. Some people may think the children were nervous, but actually, they showed great debating skills. They looked confident and were capable of convincing the audience and judges using body language, eye contact, excellent tone of voice and inflections and interesting persuasive devices that made their speeches strong.
The two motions that presented were:
- Fast Fashion should be banned.
- We should take care of our native forests and avoid over exploitation.
The quality of the debates was excellent and the children had a lot of fun developing their public speaking skills.
Well done!
