September has arrived and it is time to celebrate Chile and its amazing authors.

In Lower Prep Library we are highlighting the work of the different Chilean authors and illustrators. We have thematic shelves where we are displaying their books and we will share some of these stories in our Library sessions.

We are also joining the celebrations all around our country to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Gabriela Mistral’s Nobel Prize. Mistral was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1945, becoming the first Latin American author to receive it and to this day, she is the only woman from the region to do so. We have a selection of her work displayed, as well as a board dedicated to her poems and books.
