This week, our teachers rolled up their sleeves and worked together to pack every single library book into boxes – all ready for their exciting move to our brand-new library space opening in 2026: The Centenary Library.

It feels a little strange to walk past the old room and no longer see the bright book spines lining the back wall, nor our pupils curled up on the sofas with a story or gathered around the tables enjoying quiet activities. For more than 35 years, the Upper Prep library has been the beating heart of the top level – a place of curiosity, imagination and calm.

As we prepare for this new chapter, we cannot help but look back fondly on everything this space has given us. And while we say goodbye to a room filled with memories, we do so with excitement, knowing that The Centenary Library – a shared space for both Upper Prep and Senior School – will soon open its doors, ready to inspire new stories, new discoveries and new generations of readers.
