Dear Parents,
It is a great pleasure to welcome you and your children to the 2026 academic year at The Grange School. The start of a new School year brings a renewed sense of purpose and possibility. It is a moment to reaffirm who we are as a Community, what we stand for, and what we are building together for the benefit of every child in our care.
It is a privilege to serve The Grange School and this Community, and I do so with a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to the pupils, families, and staff who make this such a special place. We are proud of the legacy we have inherited, and equally mindful of our shared responsibility to carry it forward through the daily actions, standards, and example we set. At The Grange, our purpose is clear: every decision we make, every action we take, and every moment of every day must place our pupils at the centre. Their learning, well-being, and sense of belonging guide all that we do, and every child should feel known, supported, and confident that they are part of a Community where they are valued and able to grow.
This year, we are placing particular emphasis on the culture we create together. Culture is built through consistent, everyday actions, in the classroom, on the sports field, and in the way we speak to and support one another. These moments, though often small, create an environment where pupils feel safe, respected, and able to thrive, and where a strong sense of belonging allows them to grow in confidence and independence.
Our Grangonian values: Fair Play, Spirit of Service, Team Spirit, Joy of Learning, Good Manners, and striving to be All-Rounders, continue to provide the foundation for this work. They guide expectations, inform decisions, and help our pupils grow not only academically, but also as principled, capable young people. The partnership between School and home is essential in this process. When pupils experience clear, consistent expectations and see the adults around them working together with a shared purpose, they are best placed to flourish. Your support, trust, and engagement are central to ensuring that every child feels secure, supported, and part of this Community.
As we begin the year ahead, we do so with confidence in our shared foundation and a clear commitment to providing the very best for every child. Together, we will continue to honour the legacy of this School while building its future. Together, we will continue to build a Community where every pupil feels known, supported, and truly belongs.
