During these activities, our pupils explored technology in meaningful, age-appropriate ways. Through hands-on experiences, they discovered how materials, creativity and problem-solving help us understand the world around us.

Prekinder: We are discovering textures through creativity and technology! Pupils are learning about the senses of sight and touch by creating different sensory toys, like a textured soft card representing different soft things, and a sensory bottle for next week.

Kinder: In Kinder, we discovered that books are a very ancient technology that started with the first clay tablets made by Sumerians, almost 5.000 years ago! Then we created different forms of small books with paper, to share their stories through drawings.

1° Básico: We are starting our new topic “Fabulous Nature”! In Technology, students are learning that every material, such as wood, glass, metal and plastic, comes from natural sources. Then, they drew a design for a house for one of Three Little Pigs, thinking what material could endure the blows of the Big Bad Wolf.

2° Básico: Pupils learned how boats are a technology that allows people to travel to far away lands. In groups, they created their own small boats using classroom materials, like ice cream sticks, straws, cardboard and tape. Then they tested them in real water and drew conclusions on what makes something float and hold weight in water.
