On Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd August, The Grange School will welcome 160 visiting pupils for a new edition of Gryphon MUN, our annual Model United Nations Conference.

Over two days, participants will take part in eight committees, debating and proposing solutions to some of today’s major global challenges. Topics will include how best to contain a potential Ebola outbreak, promoting ecotourism in areas of high poverty, and protecting the rights of women in displacement contexts.

Through debate, negotiation and the exchange of different perspectives, Gryphon MUN provides pupils with an opportunity to develop their leadership, critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills, while gaining a deeper understanding of how international challenges are addressed.

This year, we are also delighted to welcome journalist Constanza Santa María as a special guest during Saturday’s programme.

We look forward to two inspiring days of debate, learning and collaboration, bringing together pupils from different schools and creating opportunities to engage with global issues from a range of perspectives.
