In Lower Prep Technology, pupils have been exploring how technology connects with our everyday lives, while developing their creativity, problem-solving and collaborative skills.

In Prekinder, pupils have been exploring traditional Chilean games such as Trompo, Emboque and Volantín. As part of our Chilean Spirit, they have recreated their own versions of these games using recycled materials, combining creativity with an appreciation of Chilean traditions.

Kinder pupils have been discovering one of the oldest forms of technology: houses and shelters. They have explored how different types of homes are shaped by climate and ways of life, from mud huts in rural Ghana and Aboriginal shelters in Australia to Gassho-style houses in Japan.

In 1° Básico, pupils have been learning about computers and developing their confidence with computer room routines and basic hardware. Using the creative drawing software Kid Pix, they have been practising how to use the mouse, screen and keyboard while creating their own digital artwork.

Meanwhile, 2° Básico pupils have been working on an exciting shadow puppet theatre project inspired by the book The Monster Who Ate Darkness. Working collaboratively, they are designing and creating props for their own shadow theatre, exploring the connections between light, literacy and technology.
