As part of The Grange School Art Festival, our Art Prefects are organising a photography competition open to members of our school community.
The theme of the competition is “Light and Shadow”. We invite you to capture your own interpretation of the theme, with particular emphasis on the use and presence of light in your photograph.
You can submit a photograph you already have or take a new one especially for the competition. The photograph can be in colour or black and white and can be taken with any type of camera. What matters most is your creative interpretation of the theme.
There are two categories:
- 7° Básico – 4°EM pupils
- Parents, teachers and Old Grangonians
Photographs must be original and should not include watermarks, borders or added decorations. Please submit your photograph as a JPG file between 2 and 10 MB, including your full name, category and the title of your photograph.
Submission deadline: Monday, 12th October

A judging panel made up of photographers Maite Zubizarreta and Tomás Westenenk, together with an Art Teacher, will select first, second and third place in each category. Photographs will be judged on composition, originality, connection to the theme and technical quality.
The winning photographs will be exhibited at THE GRAF EVENING on 23rd October.
