Javiera Guiloff joined The Grange School in 2011 and currently serves as Assistant Head Academic of the Lower Prep, a role she has held since July 2025. She has over 15 years’ experience in bilingual primary education and has worked as a Form Teacher across several year levels, Head of Science for the Lower Prep, and more recently in academic leadership roles. Her work has included the design and implementation of blended programmes of study from Kinder to 2° Básico, aligned with the Early Years Programme, British Standards and the Chilean Curriculum.
Javiera holds a Primary Education Teaching Degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and has recently completed a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Early Childhood Education at the University of Texas at Austin. Alongside her school leadership responsibilities, she has served as an External STEM Supervisor for Universidad de los Andes and has contributed to curriculum authorship and academic publications.
Javiera is deeply committed to high-quality teaching, curriculum coherence and professional learning. She believes that strong pedagogy, inquiry-driven learning and meaningful assessment practices are central to both academic achievement and pupil wellbeing. With training in assessment for learning, inquiry-based education, STEM+ project-based learning and early childhood pedagogy, she brings a reflective and research-informed approach to leadership. She is passionate about mentoring teachers and trainee teachers, fostering collaborative professional cultures, and creating learning environments where all members feel safe, challenged and inspired. Her leadership is grounded in empathy, high expectations and a strong belief in education as a transformative force for pupils, families and the wider school community.
