Richard Quantrill

Head of Senior School

Richard Quantrill joined The Grange School as Head of Senior School in February 2026, bringing with him over 20 years of leadership experience in international education.

A British citizen, Richard has spent the majority of his career working in British international schools in Latin America. Prior to joining The Grange, he served as Head of Newton College in Lima, Perú, where he led strategic school development, strengthened teaching and learning practices, and fostered a culture of trust, collaboration and high expectations. His leadership has been characterised by a strong focus on instructional excellence, pupil wellbeing and future-focused education.

Richard holds a degree in Economics from the University of Liverpool and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of London. He also completed a CELTA qualification from Cambridge University and has recently completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in the UK. He is bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing him to work confidently across diverse school communities.

Throughout his career, Richard has held a range of senior leadership roles, including Head of Secondary, Deputy Head, Head of Year and Head of Department. In addition to his school leadership work, he has contributed to regional professional networks as an IB Workshop Leader and through his involvement with the Latin American Heads Conference (LAHC), supporting collaboration and best practice across international schools.

Richard is passionate about building values-driven school communities where pupils integrate the effective use of technology for learning and are challenged academically, supported pastorally and encouraged to become confident, compassionate global citizens.
